A performance where I wrapped myself in plastic wrap and tape until my movement was restricted, I then began to ungulate until I broke free from the self appointed shell, emerging and leaving behind a lifeless husk, and began the process over again.

Model Matt Mattox
Born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, Matt Mattox proclaimed himself as a sculptor at a very young age. Matt followed his passion of art beyond his youth, receiving a BFA in Fine Arts from Ringling College of Art and Design. Graduating as a Trustee Scholar and Class Speaker, he received a number of public commissions. One of Matt’s most reputable pieces entitled, “Standing Bow”, can be seen in Sarasota, FL located in Ringling Square. Although he is a sculptor by trade, Matt is an equally reputable painter and drawer.
